Join us for the second annual University Research Awards event on April 5

Colleagues,

One of our key roles as one of the nation’s leading research universities is to make discoveries that have an impact on our society’s greatest challenges.

As part of that effort, we’re hosting the second annual University Research Awards from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, April 5, at the Lied Center to celebrate many of our most research-productive faculty. Appetizers and drinks will be served.

The event is free and open to the public, but if you intend to attend, we ask that you complete this RSVP form for you and your guests so we are able to get an accurate headcount for the event.

We’ll be celebrating the University Scholarly Achievement Awards, the Higuchi-KU Endowment Research Achievement Awards, the Chancellor’s Club Research Award and the KU Research Staff & Postdoctoral Achievement Awards. These awards recognize researchers from our Lawrence and KU Medical Center campuses and beyond.

It’s a great joy to be able to celebrate these researchers each year all at the same time, and I’m looking forward to this year’s event in particular after the pandemic necessitated that we move last year’s event online. I’m happy to be able to invite the entire university to join in the celebration. We know that you’ll be proud of your colleagues’ achievements.

Congratulations to all the recipients we’ll be honoring this year, and be sure to keep up the great work.

Respectfully,

Doug
