Thank you for helping to launch KU Strategic Planning 2020

Colleagues,

Thank you for participating in Visioning Day, the kickoff to our strategic planning process, last week in the Kansas Union Ballroom.

More than 250 members of our community attended the event – and nearly 1,000 more joined via livestream – to discuss the landscape of higher education and the future of our university. The conversations were thoughtful and passionate, and they confirm my belief that KU has a bright future because Jayhawks like you care deeply about this place.

If you weren’t able to attend Visioning Day, I encourage you to visit our Strategic Planning 2020 website to learn more about how the planning process will unfold during the coming months.

The Office of the Provost is aggregating feedback collected at Visioning Day and will generate a summary document for the community in the coming weeks. In the meantime, I encourage you to continue providing input through our online survey tool. Please submit your feedback by November 25 to ensure it is incorporated into the next phase of the process.

In addition, let us know if you want to be considered for one of the strategic planning work groups we are creating to drive the process.

Thank you again for being part of this. With your help, I know this process will position us to advance our mission and aspirations as a top national research university.

Respectfully,

Doug
