Jana Collins

Jana Collins serves as the Executive Associate to the Chancellor and Assistant Chief of Staff. A key member of the leadership team, she provides executive support for Chancellor Girod, oversees front office operations, and manages the Chancellor’s Office staff.

With over 20 years working in higher education, Jana brings valuable experience from the areas of academic advising, residence life, and administrative support. Her background as a student-athlete, student leader, and collegiate musician further enriches her perspective, fueling her passion for higher education and her commitment to best practices in her role.

Jana joined the Office of the Chancellor in September 2017. Prior to this, she served in various capacities in the Office of the Provost and the School of Education, as well as in Baker University’s President’s Office and Highland Community College's Business Office. Additionally, she gained invaluable experience as an Administrative Assistant in the finance industry in New York City.

Originally from Highland, Kansas, Jana earned an Associate of Arts and an Associate of Science from Highland Community College, a Bachelor of Music Education from Baker University, and a Master of Science in Education with a focus on Higher Education Administration from the University of Kansas.
