A statement about last night's plane crash

Colleagues,

On behalf of the University of Kansas, I want to offer my deepest sympathies to the families and friends mourning those lost in last night’s tragic plane crash in Washington, D.C. Though we don’t yet know the identities of everyone on board, we know this tragedy will deeply impact the city of Wichita, as well as other communities in Kansas and beyond. Today I ask KU faculty, staff and students to lend their thoughts and prayers to those who have perished and those who are grieving their loss.
