Message: Chancellor Girod comments on passing of WSU President John Bardo

Tuesday, March 12, 2019

Dear Colleagues,

Earlier today, we learned of the passing of Wichita State University President John Bardo. John was a visionary leader, a valued colleague and, most importantly, a good person who cared deeply about Wichita State University and higher education. There’s no question that WSU, Wichita and the entire state are better off because of John. On behalf of the University of Kansas, I extend our deepest condolences to John’s family and friends, as well as the entire Wichita State University community, as they mourn this loss.

Respecfully,

Douglas A. Girod
