A celebration of the university's most outstanding educators

The University of Kansas will host the second annual University Teaching Awards in September 2024 to celebrate KU's most outstanding educators.

This event will convene winners of all of KU's annual teaching awards -- from the Lawrence and KU Medical Center campuses -- to be recognized and celebrated.

Chancellor Girod hosted the University Teaching Awards on Nov. 7 in the Big 12 Room of the Kansas Union.

Trevor Rivers

Trevor Rivers is an assistant teaching professor in the Undergraduate Biology program and has a research affiliation in the Department of Ecology & Evolutionary Biology.

Kent Spreckelmeyer

Kent Spreckelmeyer is a professor in the Department of Architecture.

Ann Rowland

Ann Rowland is an associate professor in the Department of English.

Ali Brox

Ali Brox is an assistant teaching professor in the Environmental Studies Program.

Michelle Heffner-Hayes

Michelle Heffner-Hayes is a professor in the Department of Theatre & Dance.

Dorothy Hughes is an assistant professor in the Department of Population Health and the assistant dean of student affairs for the Salina campus.

Stephen Jernigan

Stephen Jernigan is an associate professor in the Department of Physical Therapy, Rehabilitation Science and Athletic Training.
