The University of Kansas hosted the inaugural University Teaching Awards on Nov. 7, 2023, to celebrate KU's most outstanding educators.
For the first time ever, this event brought together winners of all of KU's annual teaching awards -- from the Lawrence and KU Medical Center campuses -- to be recognized and celebrated.

Trevor Rivers
Trevor Rivers is an assistant teaching professor in the Undergraduate Biology program and has a research affiliation in the Department of Ecology & Evolutionary Biology.

Kent Spreckelmeyer is a professor in the Department of Architecture.
Ann Rowland
Ann Rowland is an associate professor in the Department of English.
Ali Brox
Ali Brox is an assistant teaching professor in the Environmental Studies Program.
Michelle Heffner-Hayes
Michelle Heffner-Hayes is a professor in the Department of Theatre & Dance.

Dorothy Hughes is an assistant professor in the Department of Population Health and the assistant dean of student affairs for the Salina campus.
Stephen Jernigan
Stephen Jernigan is an associate professor in the Department of Physical Therapy, Rehabilitation Science and Athletic Training.
