Your work inspires our supporters

Colleagues,

This week, on Thursday, February 20, we’re again bringing together supporters of our university for our third 24-hour giving campaign, One Day. One KU.

In addition to being an important event for our university, this occasion also provides an opportunity to thank each of you. Ultimately, our donors support KU because of you – and all the work you do in support of our mission.

During last year’s One Day. One KU. event, donors made 2,635 gifts totaling more than $1 million. This was the largest number of gifts our university has ever received during a single day, benefitting more than 225 areas.

Donors create new scholarship opportunities because they believe in your work to prepare students. Your work also inspires donors to fund faculty awards and endowed professorships. And donors support many new building projects and facility upgrades – including this year’s newly unveiled Stauffer-Flint Hall renovation.

We hope this year’s event is even more successful. For those of you who are able to participate, One Day. One KU. is the perfect opportunity to support programs and priorities that are most meaningful to you. Mark your calendar for February 20, join the celebration on Twitter at #OneDayOneKU, and visit the One Day. One KU. website. You’ll hear more about this event in the coming days.

Again, these donations happen because of your efforts each day to make KU a better place. So thank you, and know that your work helps inspire these transformational opportunities for our university.

Respectfully,

Doug
