Deanne Arensberg

Deanne Arensberg serves as the assistant to Julie Murray, Vice Chancellor for Strategic Initiatives/Chief of Staff. She is the lead staff support for the University Scholarly Achievement Award and Wolfe Teaching Excellence Award committees, and assists with a variety of other events and committees. Before joining the Chancellor’s Office in September 2022, Deanne worked with administrators, faculty, researchers, donors, and students in her past roles at Watkins Health Services, KU Bookstore, the Department of Chemistry, Public Affairs, Event Management and Protocol, and the Office of Research. Deanne is originally from Overland Park, Kansas, and graduated from Kansas State University with a bachelor of science degree in Apparel, Textiles, and Interior Design. Before joining KU, she spent many years in the consumer products industry.
