Changing for Excellence

Introduction from the Chancellor

We have a responsibility to our students, faculty and staff, as well as to the taxpayers of Kansas, to ensure that we devote every dollar possible to teaching, discovery and public service. Additionally, if we hope to take advantage of the opportunities in front of us and raise KU’s stature as a world-class university, we must transform the way we operate.

To do that, we must first undertake an intensive review of how we do business at KU and identify ways we can be more effective. I encourage you to take part in this process, as it will only be truly successful if it involves the entire university community. Together, we can transform KU so that we are better able to achieve our shared mission of contributing to the prosperity and vitality of our world.

- Chancellor Bernadette Gray-Little
